Claustrum - A legacy of history
At Quinta de Amares property, you can find and incredible legacy of history, represented by the "Mosteiro de Santo André de Rendufe" (11th century) and the Aqueduct (17th century).

This was our inspiration to design an elegant packaging, focused on the "code of arms" of the brand, enriching the cultural heritage of the property and to pay a homage to the ancient masters and builders of great monuments that now days we have the privilege to see at Quinta da Amares.

Why CLAUSTRUM?

This is a latim word that means a covered walkway an open gallery or open árcade that runs along the walls of buildings and forms a quadrilateral or courtyard.

The linking of a CLAUSTRUM to a cathedral or church, usually against a warm south flank, generally indicates that it is (or once was) part of a monastic foundation, "forming a continuous and solid architectural barrier... the world of the monks from that of the servants and workers, whose lives and works took place outside and around the CLAUSTRUM ".
